Short version: we keep what you tell Poffu so Poffu can reply and so we can learn how people think. We don't sell it. You can delete all of it in one tap.
What we collect
- In the app: an anonymous account (no name or email needed), the calls you make, what you say or type to Poffu, your vents and day closes, and your settings.
- Voice: speech is turned into text on your iPhone. We never receive or store your audio, only the text.
- On poffu.ai: your email, the cases you play and your answers, and whether you asked for the daily email.
- Basic usage: which screens and buttons are used, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop abuse.
Why
- To show you cases and get Poffu's reply to what you said.
- To send the daily case email, only if you ticked the box. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To improve Poffu and understand, in aggregate, how people reason. Vents and day closes are never scored.
Who helps us run Poffu
- Supabase stores the data.
- Anthropic (Claude) writes Poffu's replies. Your answer to a case is sent to it for that. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
- Resend sends emails. PostHog counts usage.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. No ads, no tracking across other apps.
Deleting your data
In the app: You → Delete my data. This deletes your account and everything in it, right away. For poffu.ai, email us and we'll remove your email and plays.
Not a health service
Poffu is a thinking partner, not therapy or medical advice. If you're in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line (988 in the US).
Kids
Poffu is not meant for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
